ALCOHOL LEGAL DRINK DRIVE

If you have been stopped by the police for suspected drink driving / driving under the influence of alcohol, and they have taken a blood sample to test for blood alcohol levels, they will provide you with a blood sample.

This is so you can have your blood sample tested privately, giving you a second opinion and peace of mind knowing that the result is correct.

The benefits of sending your blood sample to MediChecks are that we can provide you with a fast accurate result, which will be admissible in a court of law (providing we receive the sample intact and the bag has not been opened).

Results from the police laboratory can often take over six weeks.

BAC stands for 'Blood Alcohol Content', and is another way of expressing the UK legal limit of '35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath' which is equates to a BAC of 0.08 (80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood).
