DVT SCREEN

The Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Risk Assessment Profile consists of 4 individual blood tests. The Factor V Leiden and Factor II mutation are genetic tests aimed at isolating an increased risk to a tendency for the blood to clot. As it is genetic (inherited) then the tests identify a ‘lifelong’ pattern that will not change – hence these tests need only be carried out once in a lifetime.
